Originally established in October 1991, Ashley's Attic (named after Laurie and Russell Jurk's first born child) opened in the Antique Center of Texas in Houston. Laurie and Russell later decided to relocate their family back to Giddings, Texas to become more involved with Bobby Lehmann Inc., the family business.
On June 3, 1996, Laurie and Russell bought a historical home built in 1900 and after three months of restoration the store was ready to reopen. With the help of her sister, Wendy Yu, we were able to venture into new items. Introducing a wide variety of home decor, gifts, candles, apparel, purses, jewelry, stationary, bath and body, and so much more. Which is the Ashley's Attic you know and love today.
